Atkinson Moss is currently looking for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join a fantastic organisation based on the outskirts of Norwich.

An exciting new opportunity for a proactive Assistant Finance Business Partner that supports the management of financial activity.

As part of a highly motivated team, you will work closely with colleagues, budget managers and other stakeholders to guideand advise on budget management, financial process, and compliance.

You will be required to present effective reports and insight to assist with decision-making.


Main duties include but not limited to:

  • Populate and maintain the 5-year financial plans as required and agreed with the Senior Finance Business Partner
  • Assist in the provision of highquality advice to the Divisional / Departmental Heads and Budget Holders on operational financial matters
  • Deliver training and respond to queries on financial systems and procedures
  • Liaise with colleagues in Finance and budget holders to provide accurate financial information required for the completion of reports/ schedules/ financial claims, etc.
  • Provide liaison with internal and external auditors
  • Provide costings and assist in the preparation of business plans as required and agreed with the Senior Finance Business Partner
  • Undertake and/or facilitate regular reconciliations to support effective budgetary control
  • Advise managers on the effective and efficient use of resources
  • Assist with the management of robust systems for financial control, reviewing and modifying them as necessary in consultation with the Senior Finance Business Partner
  • Provide or facilitate training for administrative staff, for example in promoting best practice and providing briefings on financial management, procurement, and financial regulations

Experience and skills:


  • Minimum of five passes at GCSE at Grades A-C including Mathematics and English Language.
  • AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma for Accounting Technicians or equivalent or Equivalent experience in a comparable role.
  • Practical experience of using a computerised financial ledger system.
  • Experience of gathering, interpreting and presenting financial information.
  • Experience of providing accurate financial advice and reports for budget holders.
  • Experience of monitoring budgets, forecasts and financial returns.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills able to gather and process data and explain results.
