If the answer is yes - then look no further as we are handling an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Junior Buyer to join the Procurement team of a major manufacturing client in the area.


This client is worth over £100m in the UK alone, and one of the UK's leading manufacturers of personal care products including an instantly recognizable portfolio of products available in all the major retailers.


This is an exciting role created to support the team during a period of increased workload due to new product introductions and integration of a recent acquisition.


Key responsibilities will include:


Supporting the commercial relationship between the Project Management Office (PMO) and GMS (Global Manufacturing Services) Procurement and R&D Supporting project teams and external suppliers on RCF (Rapid Commercialization Projects) so that customer needs are met, whilst maintaining effective business relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Assisting and reporting data as well as maintaining and managing trackers to create accurate KPI's for business.

Managing European Rejects & Complaints issues for the portfolio in charge as well as COPQ recovery (Cost of poor Quality)

Identification of cost down projects in line with G2G (Good to Great) program Providing excellent customer service to internal customers

Owning the supplier monitoring process and reporting


We are also looking for a good combination of the following:
Good knowledge of procurement techniques and be able to give examples of where you have applied this to projects.

Be a focused, driven negotiator who applies the various styles and techniques of negotiation as appropriate.

Have the ability to challenge, interpret and document highly complex customer requirements.

Have experience of working on multiple projects of varying complexities simultaneously.

Have excellent presentation skills.

Have excellent skills on Windows pack office especially on Excel. Have a good level of SAP Knowledge.


Package Highlights:

The role is initially presented initially on a 12 month fixed term basis but the client has also confirmed this is a continually rolling contract position, so the long term career prospects are very good

37 hours per week 9am - 5pm with an early finish on a Friday
