About the role
The Biomass Shift Operator safely manages the operational control and surveillance of the Bio-mass plant, taking corrective action where required and reporting any abnormalities safely and effectively.
You'll record plant performance, carry out routine operational duties including taking process samples, conducting site compliance checks and monitoring and managing fuel deliveries and supply.
Monitoring plant conditions and adjustment of controls associated with the Bio Mass fuel delivery systems, bio-boiler, ESP and cyclone system, Furnace operating condition, hydraulic systems, boiler feed water condition and draff pressing capacity to ensure efficient operation and plant reliability targets are achieved.
As a biomass operator, you will take delivery of Bio-mass fuel at site in accordance with fuel handling policies and procedures to ensure fuel is within specification and actively managed to ensure routine rotation.
The role holder will carry out process isolations and monitoring for internal engineers and external contractors in accordance with SSOW.
You'll collate and record plant performance data for weekly, monthly and RHI reporting and evaluate against business Key Performance Indicator's.
- The shift for this role will be Annualised hrs of 216 shift per annum, working 8hrs._
You will need to have a UK Driving License
1 years' experience of shift working in a production team in an FMCG environment would be beneficial
Competent to understand the functions and working of machines including planned maintenance and lubrication at basic level is sought after
Having knowledge of risk standards (Quality H&S Environment) would be advantageous
