Commissioning Engineer - CHP / Power Generation

£37k Basic (overall opportunity with overtime £45k-£60k) + Van + Private Healthcare + Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Benefits

Working within the company Projects & Commissioning Team, this is a field-based role and will require travel throughout the UK and possibly NI, ROI & overseas.

Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Commissioning Engineers with experience in the power generation, CHP or diesel generation industries interested in working for a market leading supplier as a remote Commissioning Engineer.

Job Role:

To efficiently carry out all aspects of Commissioning on the company product and Balance of Plant, including all interfaces with third parties, as required by the specific project.
To carry out all fault finding (local & remotely) on installations, ensuring that all problems are closed out to the required quality standard.
Observe and follow all Health, Safety and Environmental standards, regulations and requirements, and procedures as per the company handbook at all times.
On occasion as instructed by the Commissioning Manager, support the wider team in specialist trouble shooting and field support as required.

Key Skills Required:

Minimum qualification to ONC/D, NVQ level II or City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent in a mechanical/electrical discipline.
Competent time served technician in a mechanical/electrical discipline, preferably with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
Competent technician with considerable skills and indepth knowledge of gas/diesel engines.
Effective IT skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
Full current driving licence.
