Job description:


This role is the Defence Digital High Level Budget (DD HLB) lead for providing and managing responses to Parliamentary Questions, Freedom of Information requests, Ministerial Correspondence, Treat Official Correspondence on matters that include issues relating to past, current and future projects.


Hybrid Working


This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working from home as a personal choice (if the role is suitable for this).

If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.


Person specification:


Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expert for providing Parliamentary Questions (PQ), Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, Ministerial Correspondence (MC), Treat Official Correspondence (TOC) and Defence Engagement within the DD HLB.
  • Lead on Responses to PQ (including Prime Minister's Questions), MC and TOC within the mandated Parliamentary timescales.
  • Submissions to senior MOD officials and Ministers.
  • Briefing material for senior officials' and Ministerial meetings and visits, and for Parliamentary Debates.
  • Lead on Responses to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests within the legally defined timescales.
  • Ensure a record of all requests and responses is kept providing a repository / body of knowledge on FOIs, PQs etc to refer to if a similar or related question has been answered previously and to ensure consistency of responses.
  • Maintain processes which assure delivery of Secretariat Team outputs, ensuring that activity is managed to achieve required targets reviewing processes and requirements against realistic resources.
  • Adhoc/projectbased tasking to provide support to the wider team to ensure delivery of priority outputs.
