We are currently seeking a Proposals Manager to join our client's team, based in either of their sites in Dorking, Surrey or Halesowen, West Midlands.

The Successful Proposals Manager will lead and manage the daily running of tendering departments and willensure the tendering process runs smoothly through to handover to the project delivery teams.

Salary: £45,000 £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Hours of work: Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours)

Responsibilities of the Proposals Manager

Lead and manage the daily running of the Electrical and Mechanical Tendering departments and ensure an integrated approach is maintained throughout the Tendering process and within the handover to the Project Delivery teams
Undertake a detailed review of cost estimates prepared by tendering team including review of customer specifications and associated documents to ensure all requirements have been considered in preparing the estimate
Review of proposal documents prepared by tendering team to ensure all clarifications/deviations are addressed and the document is well presented
Comparison of costings on previous projects to ensure any "lessons learnt" have been applied
Assist tendering team with preparation of tender programmes and activity schedules
Review of conditions of contract to ensure any required amendments are included within proposal document
Review of contract documents to ensure contract reflects the agreed tender proposal
Handover from estimating to projects / engineering team including assisting with setting up project cost monitoring tools and ensuring all knowledge gained during tendering period is effectively communicated
Assist with identifying scope changes during engineering phase and costing of the change
Ensure estimates prepared by the tendering teams are fully compliant with client's specifications, well presented and consider all risks and opportunities
Provide seamless handover to Projects / Engineering team

The Successful Proposals Manager

Degree/HND in an engineering discipline
Experienced in the utilities sector of the construction industry preferably in the water sector
Excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of NEC3/4 and IChemE conditions of contract
