Description

Accountable to the Head of Data, Digital and Innovation, this role will underpin the 7 core DDI functions by building and delivering underpinning data services and developing core capabilities to help establish the DDI vision to lead the market in data analytics.

Objectives/deliverables:

Establish data services including a Data Service Catalogue and a Target Operating Model design for the Data Services organisation;
Implement standards and frameworks for:
Data ownership (including data steward appointments, producer/consumer contracts)
Data definitions (canonical data model and meta data)
Data quality (standards, monitoring and reporting)
Data lineage
Data sourcing and data sourcing debt reporting
Data approvals (crossborder and cloud propagation)
Data transformation
Establish a data governance structure across all Securities Services business lines ensuring senior ownership for data and data resolution which culminates in an SSwide data council;
Establish data performance reporting depicting the extent to which critical data has been identified, is being quality monitored and is being sourced correctly;
Regularly benchmark the data services capability against industry best practices (e.g. MDM and peers);
Establish data responsibilities and deliverables related to regulatory compliance and internal audit action plans;
Establish a continuous data service improvement capability to run alongside BAU services that ensures the SS data organisation meets its strategic/bestinclass objectives;
Establish and own the data services transformation book of work to ensure data services are underpinned by bestinclass data management technology and processes specifically, ensure data is sourced from registered golden sources;
Establish innovation initiatives to help unlock the potential in securities services data to realise client experience and engagement targets e.g. graph ontologies.

Collaboration:

Work with the corporate/central data organisation to ensure alignment to central standards, policies and tooling;
Work across the DDI teams to drive transformation teams towards services and standards being delivered in each area e.g. cloud architecture; and to ensure capabilities are monitored to be best in class;
More specifically:
Cloud to ensure approvals are in place for data propagation and alignment to data quality standards as a prerequisite to the cloud;
Data Architecture to drive governance standards across SSI;
Client Platform Experience and Engagement to ensure data consumed by clients is of a high quality;
Internal Analytics and Data Enablement to deliver a suite of dashboard to drive DDI governance reporting;
Data Science and AI to confirm data consumption/curation requirements to underpin machine learning models;
Strategic Investments and Partnerships to provide requirements for data service tooling and innovation use cases;
Strategy and Product Development to ensure transformation initiatives are in line with the target state data architecture.
Work with the Operations and Product teams to establish critical data fix items for prioritisation and business case development.
Work with partners in technology to ensure data architecture and technology architecture standards are aligned.
Represent DDI across all key Digital First transformation initiatives.
