Description

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities/Enablement professional to join our team.

As an Activities/Enablement staff member, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities.

This position is based in a nursing home/assisted living facility and requires excellent communication skills and a passion for senior care.

Duties:

Plan and organize a variety of activities to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents
Create and implement programs that promote mental stimulation and cognitive function
Coordinate group activities such as games, crafts, exercise classes, and outings
Provide oneonone support to residents who require additional assistance or have specific needs
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a wellrounded activity schedule
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
Assist with transportation of residents to and from activities
Support residents by planning and setting goals with individuals base on their specific needs and then liaising with support staff to ensure that everyone is working towards those goals.

Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to engage with residents in a compassionate and respectful manner
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Flexibility to adapt activities based on individual resident preferences and abilities
