We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our growing Fab Lab team as a Fab Lab Facilitator.


Fab Lab is a makerspace and a digital innovation hub, powered by Sandwell College, where students, lecturers, businesses, and members of the public can come and make almost anything.

We are equipped with state-of-the-art 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, virtual reality headsets, artificial intelligence, robotics and much more Whilst many Fab Labs exist around the world, we are proud to be the first and only Fab Lab operating within the FE sector.


This is no ordinary day job - and no two days will ever be the same working at Fab Lab.

You will have access to some of the most creative minds in the industry and you will help to contribute to some of the most exciting and transformational courses and workshops within further education.


At Fab Lab however, we do not just make 'things' - we also help to make 'people' - by building our learners' confidence and showing them the radically transformational power of making, combined with the exciting potential for innovation by using emerging technologies.


You will be given the freedom, agency and autonomy to do your job properly and as you see fit - and you will be part of growing and thriving team where everyone is encouraged and supported to 'be the best that they can be' and think outside the box, by coming up with creative solutions to educational challenges.


You will also have access to some of the newest and most exciting technologies in the industry - and be given the freedom to experiment to see how these could transform learning and the lives of our learners.


Our Fab Lab movement is growing - and you will work across our four campuses, based in West Bromwich, Kings Norton and Birmingham City Centre.

There will also be numerous opportunities to take part in a number of exciting short-term projects every year.
