About the Role:
In this role you will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.
Main duties are listed below however it should be noted that the under-mentioned duties and responsibilities do not cover the whole spectrum of activities, and these may change from time to time.
Main responsibilities:
- To act as medical secretary to the Partnership and undertake all secretarial duties as directed
- Processing information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner
- Liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers in accordance with current policies, including the use of the electronic referral service (ERS)
- Liaising with patients, the public and other healthcare professionals as required
- Processing referrals using SystmOne,
- Producing minutes for partnership meetings
- Taking and transcribing minutes at designated practice meetings
- Answering and making telephone calls appropriate to the role, dealing with the callers request appropriately
- Ensuring that confidentiality is maintained at all times in line with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), Confidentiality, Caldicott and Access Polices
- Working as part of the team to ensure premises/ facilities are secure and kept clean and tidy throughout the day in line with Health and Safety and Infection Control requirements
Essential:
- Experience of Microsoft Office software
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, grammar and spelling
- Able to communicate complex information to others
- Understanding, acceptance and adherence of the need for strict confidentiality
- Confident and able to work under pressure
- Selfmotivated able to use own judgement and common sense
- Conscientious and committed
Desirable:
- Experience of working with clinical systems
- SystmOne
- Knowledge of the NHS
