Job description:


We are currently working with a Preston based organisation who are looking to appoint a
Procurement Specialist on an initial
6 month temporary assignment.


The role will be
full time (flexible working in place), is
hybrid (2 days pw WFH) and the day rate is flexible, dependent upon experience.


Daily duties include, but not limited to:

  • Supporting the department with procurement objectives and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Establishing working relationships and proactively engaging with relevant stakeholders
  • Highlighting risk and issues, and recording progress through periodic reporting
  • Delivering budget efficiencies and maximising funds
  • Procuring and negotiating contractual agreements
  • Promoting commercial best practice through developing relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ensuring the delivery of compliant procurements and contracts, responsible for improving overall compliance statistics and dealing with noncompliance

Skills / experience required:


  • Delivering multiple procurement projects
  • Negotiating contracts and commercial terms
  • CIPS qualified

Working pattern:

  • 10.00am 3.00pm core hours
