We want to hear from you. We have an exciting opportunity to join our passionate fundraising team.

As Fundraising Assistant you will play a key role in helping us achieve our fundraising goals to support Brendoncare's charitable services.

You will ensure good stewardship of existing supporters and help engage new ones.

You will provide administrative support to the fundraising team, carry out financial processing and provide practical administrative support for our fundraising events and challenges.

Experience in working in a CRM database is essential, along with customer service experience and an excellent use of excel to produce reports.

Our fundraising programme is a vital support for our vision of transforming the culture of ageing.


What will I be doing?

Income Generation:


  • Assist with the organisation, administration and promotion of fundraising campaigns, events and challenges
  • Manage fundraising merchandise and sales
  • Research of potential supporters, challenges and fundraising opportunities
Stewardship

  • Regular communication with supporters both written and verbally
  • Preparation of newsletters and other mailings to supporters
  • Attend fundraising events during and outside of normal hours

Database:


  • Ensure supporter information & gifts are recorded
  • Maintain general data and ensure this is up to date
  • Creating reports and pulling data for the wider fundraising team

Administration and Finance:


  • General fundraising administrative tasks
  • Preparing financial reports & working closely with accounts assistant for the clubs & foundation
  • Monthly reconciliation process with finance

General:


  • Be an ambassador for Brendoncare fundraising both inside and outside of organisation
  • Keeping up to date with policies, procedures and training

What do I need to have to apply?

Essential requirements

  • A keen interest in fundraising and the charity sector
  • Experience of administration for a busy department
  • Experience of using a customer relationship management tool or database
  • Excellent stewardship and relationship building skills
  • Excellent use of excel to produce data and reports
  • Strong communication skills: both written and verbal
  • Experience working in a customer facing role
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Willingness to work flexibly, to occasionally support out of hours fundraising events
  • Desirable requirements
  • Knowledge of Brendoncare and the services it offers
  • Previous experience within a fundraising team or charity sector
  • Previous experience working in events
  • Knowledge and awareness of issues affecting older people
