Open Ended Contract - Permanent: Full Time - 35 Hours per Week


We're looking for an exceptional Student Recruitment Assistant to join our Communications and Engagement team, and support the delivery and implementation of the School's Student Recruitment Strategy.

This includes promoting our programmes to potential applicants; creating communications to support the applicant journey; and running activities to convert offer holders.

This role is integral to ensuring the School meets its recruitment targets.

You'll get to work with a great team at one of the University's biggest schools, with plenty of opportunities to collaborate and develop.

The Opportunity:


Support the delivery and implementation of the School's Student Recruitment Strategy, including promotion of our programmes to potential applicants; communications to support the applicant journey; and activities to convert offer holders.


Working closely with the Student Recruitment Manager and colleagues in the Communications and Engagement team, the post holder will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders across the School to support recruitment and conversion at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

This role is integral to ensuring the School meets its recruitment targets.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 3, ONC or equivalent) plus previous work experience in a relevant role;
**Or

  • School education to Standard Grade or equivalent plus previous' relevant work experience.
  • High level of copywriting and editorial accuracy. Proven written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write, and order information, in a range of voices and styles for varied projects with diverse audiences
  • Experience of social media, blogging and digital marketing
  • Experience of using digital design software (e.g. Canva)
  • Experience of video production and editing
  • Experience of customer service, with ability to give clear and professional routine advice to colleagues and applicants
  • Selfmotivated and able to show initiative and work well under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills including experience of establishing effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
