The post holder will be responsible for the design, maintenance and implementation of all Auto-CAD, Revit and Building Information Modelling (BIM) relating to the Trusts buildings and fabric infrastructure, inclusive of specialist managers and teams by providing specialist technical advice for the management of the Trust's properties and buildings.

This will include but not be limited to; major projects and capital development, minor works projects and providing expert advice on all aspects of Estates property management, Scan 4 Safety and GS1 compliance.


This role includes implementation of the property management strategy for all estates assets ensuring full compliance, inclusive of undertaking root cause analysis for Estates services and building information modelling and profiling or other system issues; this will at times require prioritising tasks and competing demands.

Management of Estates CAFM system in relation to property and location requirements. This includes technical knowledge, support and management of asset management, software/hardware integration and network coordination.


To undertake a programme of Estates compliance audits relating to GS1 standards and GLN alignment in relation to Trust building management and create remedial Action Plans to address any gaps identified.

Manage priorities and update progress with actions carried out to close any compliance gaps identified.

Summary of most important Experience/Skills/Qualifications required:
It is anticipated that the post holder will hold the following qualifications and skills:

  • Be educated to a minimum of degree level in a construction/building/engineering discipline
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to produce reports, documents, and drawings to meet clear deadlines
  • Be a logical thinker, ability to self-motivate and work unsupervised and provide innovative solutions

Please note that this post is also offered as an apprenticeship opportunity. The apprenticeship will be managed in line with the Agenda for Change terms and conditions. Training will consist of a progressive programme with day release to college.


During the training period the salary will be incremental based on a nominal percentage of the substantive Band 6 post (for example: year - 70% of top of Band 6, year - 75% of top of Band 6 etc.) Expenses and training costs will be paid by the Trust.
