Description

My client are seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to contribute to the smooth operation of the sites production objectives and targets.

This is a hands-on factory floor position, offering a starting salary of £28,000 plus great benefits.


WORKING HOURS:

  • 50/55 hours per week. Start time to be confirmed 5 days out of 7 days and possibly 6 days required in peak periods or during emergency breakdowns
  • Hours of operation of the business 24/ will need to be flexible

THE ROLE:

  • To prioritise and manage the engineering workload / activities for the site and delegate duties to subordinates for best efficiency.
  • Ensure all plant, equipment and systems are maintained with suitable and sufficient protection as defined by legislation.
  • To detect and rectify any issues in a timely manner, which affects the performance / safety of plant or equipment.
  • Ensure food safety legislation and guidelines as well as company policies are adhered to.
  • Control and minimize waste.
  • Electrical fault finding.
  • Fitting and installation of machinery within the workplace
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or faults in machinery
  • Ensure all necessary daily records and paperwork is completed in a timely manner as required by the company.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Extensive practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering
  • 16th /17th Edition.
  • Experience with electrical mechanical hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings.
  • Relevant qualification in mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Driven and motivated.
  • Positive attitude to work colleagues.
  • Excellent listening, communicating, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Excellent project management and planning skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret information to build intelligent sales strategies.
  • Proactive and highly organised with strong time management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexible approach to working hours oncall duties to resolve any issues out of hours.
  • Food hygiene qualification desirable.
