A therapeutic approach is used to support children and young people in their growth and development.
A key part of the process revolves around maintaining and building on good family relationships and supporting the children within a safe, secure, homely environment to fulfil their true potential.
Salary:
£29,200 - £35,000 including sleep ins based in experience & qualifications
Shift Patterns:
Long shifts with an average of 8 sleep ins per month.

Responsibilities of a Children's Emotional Wellbeing Support Worker:
Supporting children and young people with their emotional wellbeing including the development of their emotional understanding and processing their circumstances both past and present- Acting as positive role model for both children and staff alike
- Leading from the front, ensuring the children and team are supported
- Working as a team supporting the Support workers, Manager and Deputy as required to ensure motivation and successful running of the home
- Liaising with parents, teachers, social workers, Therapists, CAMHS etc
- Assisting the children to become as independent as possible
- Working therapeutically to support the children's emotional needs
- Mentoring and educating the children and young people we support
- Supporting day to day activities to help build their social and emotional skills
- Keeping accurate records and reporting all relevant incidents
- Managing and understanding behaviours of concern and the reasons for them
Requirements of a Children's Emotional Wellbeing Support Worker:
- Must be a driver with access to their own vehicle
- Ideally experience working in residential childcare setting or similar
- Hold or be willing to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Experience is preferable but personal experience is welcomed and a relevant qualification such as a Psychology degree, Health and Social care qualification, SEN or Education qualification
- Flexibility to work within a rota pattern
