Bridging the gap between business need and technology

The post holder will provide strategic, critical, and efficient decisions on behalf of the business at key project and solutioning stages.

As part of the Architecture team, you will be heavily involved in the solutioning process.

Building, owning, and deliveringkey process, technical and analytical documentation that will be used by architects and development in the delivery of solutions.

From inception through to delivery you will play a critical role for ensuring efficiency, quality and ultimate success of projectsand change at BPP.

What you'll be doing

Contributing to the evolution of the architecture function. Understand and support the enterprise's IT strategies
Contributing to the solutioning process by having a thorough understanding of the business need and problem statement, so can articulate ideas to and confirm assumptions from the architecture and development teams
Becoming the SME point of contact for Architecture and Development for business requirements during project delivery cycles
To simplify complex business problems, cut through ambiguity and ensure alignment across the project team(s)
To conduct other tasks as agreed with the Chief Architect or IT Director

What we're looking for

Qualifications
Degree qualified and relevant professional qualification and experience (e.g. computer science, systems analysis)

Training

Awareness of TOGAF or Zachman architecture frameworks.

Skills

Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture. Knowledge of business reengineering principles and processes. Familiarity with basic graphical modelling approaches, tools, and model repositories.

Analytical Thinking

Ability to comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies. Effective at acquiring an understanding of a problem or situation and developing an approach to interacting with the situation.

Strategic Perspective

Needs to keep overall objectives and strategies in mind, and not be deflected by matters of detail. Ability to estimate the financial impact of EA alternatives.
