We're helping our client, a leading independent Marketing Agency to find a Finance Executive to support and work closely with the COO.

Our Client
An innovative and dynamic Marketing Agency with a strong heritage and continuing their growth. They have a creative and supportive work environment with a passionate team. They have a work from anywhere policy though have an office space in Manchester city centre.

The Role

This is their first in-house finance hire and you'll work with the COO and external accountants to optimise their current accounting and financial reporting processes, and establish new approaches where necessary to improve efficiency and performance.

You'll manage day-to-day book-keeping and bill payments, as well as overseeing invoicing, and providing monthly reports to the SLT.

Working closely with the client and delivery teams to help manage and control budgets, you'll help to drive better commercial understanding throughout the agency, ultimately contributing to their ambitious growth strategy.

You

You'll likely have a minimum of 2 years' financial management experience along with appropriate qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related field.

Experience of working in a marketing agency or any type of agency would be highly beneficial but not essential, but ideally you've worked in a similar business environment where projects are tied to billings, and closely managed.

Proficiency in Xero accounting software is needed and ideally you've had some exposure to Project Management software. In-depth knowledge of UK financial regulations and tax laws, as well as a strong attention to detail. You should have the confidence to make recommendations to the board and develop decision-making frameworks.
