Part time
Description
A part time role working 23 hours per week:
Monday 8am to 1pm, Tuesday to Friday 8am to 12.30pm

The job in a nutshell

Come and join the People Team at our head office in Thame.

You'll be the first point of contact for colleagues and visitors who enter the building, so we want someone who cares about giving everyone a warm welcome to Travelodge.

You'll take satisfaction in making sure the offices are ready for each day, and report any issues quickly to our in-house maintenance team.

You'll also support our People Services team with HR admin tasks so there's plenty of opportunity for long term development if you want it.

What you'll be doing:

Office Support:

  • Welcoming colleagues and visitors and directing telephone queries to the right place
  • Making sure incoming and outgoing post is handled in a timely manner, and keeping stationery supplies in good stock
  • Customer journey walks which include health and safety and building maintenance checks, reporting and escalating any issues quickly
  • Making sure each kitchen area is stocked with crockery, cutlery and supplies such as tea and coffee
  • Making sure new colleagues have a welcome pack and security pass ready for their first day
  • Supporting requirements to evacuate the building

People Services:

  • Helping to organise our busy shared inbox and directing colleagues to self help resources where appropriate
  • Supporting a variety of admin tasks including maintaining colleague records and responding to reference requests.

What we'll expect from you:

A natural desire to provide a great service to our colleagues and visitors, take pride in ensuring the working environment is ready for each day, great attention to detail and a willingness to support the People Team with other tasks when required.

What you'll get from us:
We believe in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can be their true self and belong. We work hard to constantly improve the diversity of our workforce and celebrate our differences.

And we care about our colleagues' wellbeing, so we ensure there are plenty of resources available so everyone can look after their emotional, physical, financial and work wellbeing.

We call this "Better Me".
