Children's Home Responsible Individual
Part Time Salary: 3 days a week (22.5 hours per week) - £ £38000 per annum (depending on experience). 22 days paid holiday pa.


At Moonreach, we deliver residential childcare services in Deal that teach, develop, and look after children and young people aged between 7 and 18 years.


We pride ourselves on making a positive impact on children, helping keep them safe, enriching their lives, providing education and life skills training and help them and their families achieve better outcomes.


We are looking for a highly experienced Responsible Individual for our 5 established homes and 1 newly opened house who can help us maintain, deliver and develop our business.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • To be the Ofsted registered Responsible Individual for 6 children's homes and act on behalf of the organisation to ensure that the homes meet relevant requirements set out in legislation.
  • To oversee, monitor and support the area manager in their role supporting the registered managers and deputies in their roles in the daytoday management and running of the residential children's homes.
  • To contribute, as senior member of the management team, to the ongoing development of Moonreach and its staff team.
  • To ensure a consistently high standard of care in accordance with legislation, government guidance, regulations and standards and the policies and procedures of the registered provider.
  • To assist in the development and update of policies and procedures to ensure the homes are compliant with current guidance and legislation.
  • To oversee the management of placements within the home and to liaise with managers in formulating jointly agreed plans to ensure a coordinated approach to services for children.

- Skills and Experience:


  • Substantial experience of managing care planning practice in children's homes. A wealth of Ofsted experience identifying, assessing, care planning, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating outcomes.
  • The successful applicant will hold a minimum of a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
  • Extensive knowledge of law and practice relating to looked after children.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in roles requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
  • Have the business and management skills to supervise the management of the service efficiently and effectively.
  • You will ensure that the Registered Managers provide a high standard of consistent care and service in accordance with legislation, central government guidance, regulations and standards and the policies and procedures.

Salary:
£33,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
