The work involved in this role is a mixture of litigation and pre litigation work:
Pre-litigation personal injury claims with values up to £100,000
Personal Injury & Simple Procedure Cases (up to £5,000 - non personal injury).
Personal Injury Summary Cause Cases (up to £5,000).
Ordinary Cases (Personal Injury and non-Personal Injury) in excess of £5,000.
Although work is supervised by Solicitors, the post holder is expected to work autonomously and liaise directly with clients.
**Key Responsibilities:
- **Work is generated from insurance companies and the post holder is required to follow client protocols, ensuring that all financial targets are met. There are a variety of claims which may include property, credit hire and personal injury as well as Employers and Personal Liability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review and management of files from first instruction to settlement.
- Preparation and maintenance of detailed management information data on Service Level agreement targets and KPIs.
- Advising on liability, causation and quantum.
- Collation of evidence including interviewing and preparation of witness statements, instructing expert witnesses and citations.
- Preparation for Court where litigated i.e. drafting reports, pleadings, lodge productions and evidence to meet Court timescales.
- Establishing case files and providing clients with telephone and written support with timely and accurate reporting of their cases
- Preparation of cost estimates for clients where not fixed fee.
- Rendering and recovery of fees
- Negotiation of settlement agreements.
- Closing files and liaising with Finance to ensure all feeing is carried out appropriately.

- Full Clean Driving Licence preferred.

- Broad experience of personal injury insurance claims.
- Sound judgement commensurate with experience.
- Highly organised, with ability to prioritise and work efficiently to strict deadlines ensuring high attention to detail
- Good time management and project management skills.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and relationshipbuilding
- Proficiency on MS Office systems, with experience of using Practice Management IT systems
