Community Safety Senior Practitioner


Our Camden service is a dynamic and multidisciplinary team consisting of service managers, consultant psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants, recovery staff, volunteers, administrators, and peer mentors.

Together, we're committed to providing the best possible support and interventions for individuals using our services.


This is an exciting opportunity for a Community Safety Senior Practitioner who can engage with service users affected by addiction-related crime.

Collaborating with ADDER and the local Police Community Safety Team, you'll ensure timely, tailored interventions for their needs.

Hours:
Full-time (37.5 hours per week)


Salary:
£30, £33, dependent on experience) + Inner London Weighting £3,915.44


Responsibilities:


About the Role

  • In this dynamic role, you'll:
Assist individuals in accessing treatment.

  • Participate in hotspot operations focusing on supporting prolific shoplifters to access treatment.
  • Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning, with onward referrals.
  • Play a crucial role in reducing drug and alcoholrelated harm.
  • Collaborate with ADDER, Metropolitan Police, and Camden Community Safety Team.
  • Expand partnership activity, targeting specific vulnerable demographics for enhanced safeguarding.
  • Advocate for access to partnership services.
  • Facilitate social reintegration for service users.

About You

  • To excel, you should:
Understand substance misuse issues with relevant experience.

  • Possess excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Be proactive, with outstanding time management.
  • Have a solid understanding of mental health interventions.
  • Collaborate effectively and manage change while prioritising service user needs.
  • Uphold information governance processes.
