Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a entry level Mechanics to join a well know Aviation engineering company based just outside of Heathrow Airport on night shift.

The role involves working with other engineers and mechanics, on the dis-assembly of landing gear components on aircraft.

Full training can be provided, we are looking for people who have some base knowledge, knows there way around a toolbox and isn't afraid to get stuck in.

Initially these positions will be training on the day shift but after week will then move on to night shift.

Once on night shift and additional shift allowance of £3250 per year will be added to the annual salary.

Night shift times are 10pm - 6am.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has just finished college or has an interest in engineering but needs that entry into a company that can provide progression and a career.

Responsibilities and duties

Disassemble landing gear components in accordance with the instructions provided by the manufacturer.
Undertake inspections for damage on the components as well as a count for missing parts, reporting to team leaders for investigation.
Working to tight deadlines whilst keeping control of personal and company tools.
Upkeep cleanliness and housekeeping standards
Any tasks or duties undertaken should follow in compliance to company and EASA safety and environmental standards.

Skills and Qualifications
- knowledge and ability working with various hand tools

The applicant would have worked/studied within a mechanical environment undertaking assembly/disassembly duties (desirable)
Ability to work in a workshop environment and follow safety procedures, wearing correct PPE and safety materials at all times
Ability to communicate well in written and spoken English
