Temporary Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN):
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) for a temporary assignment at Lynfield Mount Hospital in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
This temporary position will commence on 29th February 2024 and conclude on 1st March 2024.
As a Band 5 RMN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients within a mental health setting.
Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, and implement nursing care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient.
This includes assisting with the development and implementation of therapeutic interventions and monitoring the effectiveness of treatment plans.You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care is delivered.
Your duties as a Band 5 RMN will include:- Conducting initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' physical and mental health status
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, eating, and mobility
- Providing emotional support and counseling to patients and their families
- Facilitating therapeutic group activities and individual therapy sessions
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patients' progress and treatment plans
- Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, adhering to infection control and health and safety guidelines
- Participating in continuous professional development and staying uptodate with current research and best practices in mental health nursing
Required qualifications and skills:
- A valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Prior experience working in a mental health setting, preferably as a Band 5 RMN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Strong assessment, planning, and organizational skills
- Empathy, patience, and a nonjudgmental approach towards patients
Please note:
This is a temporary position with specific start and end dates. You must be available to work from 29th February 2024 to 1st March 2024.
