Description
A globally recognised clean energy provider is currently seeking an Electronics Engineer to join its team.

The role includes capturing requirements, producing electronic designs, including simulation where required, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping,and support testing/verification at both board and system level.

You must have experience in electronics hardware design, testing, and documentation. Experience in battery technology or energy storage systems is highly desirable.


Responsibilities:


  • Developing electronics for solutions and products developed by the company
  • Design, simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, testing and verification of electronics hardware products.
  • Generating and maintaining documentation for manufacturing, interfacing and operation of the electronic hardware products.
  • Coordinating with product design engineers to package electronics within a chassis.
  • Organising manufacture of PCBs.
  • Proactively liaising with hardware subcontractors to ensure technical compliance and to assist with manufacturing issues
  • Designing electronic hardware test rigs and assemblies to support hardware integration and verification.
  • Defining, generating and maintaining documentation for electronic hardware products to support their compliance, and validation in accordance with product specifications.
  • Undertaking fault analysis, fault correction and product support with hands on testing and evaluation using a range of test equipment.
  • Supporting and collaborating with other design engineers and scientists, ensuring correct product integration.
  • Providing support for design activities including; Safety Reviews, HAZOP, Cause & Effect, SIL, LOPA reviews.

Experience Required:


_Essential:
_


  • Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering.
  • 3+ years experience of electronics hardware design, test and integration.
  • Practical design and development experience in analogue, digital and mixed signal electronics.
  • Experience in schematic capture and PCB layout (in particular with Altium).
  • Experience of design for manufacture, test and support.
  • Awareness of highspeed digital design methods.
  • Understanding of Signal Integrity Analysis.
  • Core understanding of microprocessors, programmable devices, DSP, FPGA, ADC, DAC, memory.
  • Good understanding of engineering configuration management principles.
  • Awareness of the fundamentals of: analogue, RF, electromechanical and mechanical engineering.
  • Knowledge of PCB layout principles.
  • Experience in component and system testing.
  • Basic IT skills and Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel and work internationally at customer facilities.
  • Desirable:_
  • Direct experience with fuel cells or other electrochemical cell systems.
  • Previous experience of working in adhering to a 'quality focused' organisation and the associated QA procedures.
