CNC Setter Operator - Turning

The role
To program, set and manufacture small-batch aerospace components.

Your responsibilities
Setting/operating and manufacturing a variety of small-batch components from engineering drawings to within tight limits,

Manufacturing all components within the agreed timescales,

Setting a variety of CNC Machine Tools for operators as and when required (Mazak Machining Centres/Citizen Sliding Head),

Using a wide range of measuring equipment to check small-batch components after manufacture,

Mentoring new staff as required,

Maintaining the agreed quality rating at all times,

Making sure that manufactured product is suitably protected for transit,

Working in the order of the manufacturing plan at all times,

Making sure that all manufacturing paperwork is filled out correctly,

What we are looking for
English, Maths & Science GCSE, (or equivalent) at grade C or above

Minimum 5 years CNC turning experience

Ability to read engineering drawings, set CNC turning machines and use measuring equipment

Citizen CNC Machining Centre experience

Works using Metric and Imperial

Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment

Strong attention to detail and time management
