Job Summary:

A East Midlands based Local Planning Authority has a requirement for a Planning Enforcement Officer to join their team and work on a diverse caseload.

Working as part of this team you will undertake a variety of investigations to tackle development in breach of UK Planning legislation that will include residential, commercial, and unauthorised works in conservation areas.

Your main duties as the Planning Enforcement Officer will include:

Coordinating and undertaking site visits
Dealing with telephone inquiries from members of the public
Drafting witness statements
Manage Appeals
Liaison with development management teams and colleagues
Draft and serve a variety of Enforcement notices that may include breach of condition and stop etc
Investigate breaches in planning legislation
Negotiate retrospective planning approval
