Our Head of Digital Technology and Data Narrative will tell our Digital Technology and Data Narrative internally and externally - building belief and confidence in our digital transformation, creating trust for our colleagues and customers, and building awareness and advocacy of our strategy and vision.
You'll also help us build our reputation externally - shouting about the things that make us a great place to work and helping us attract and retain the top talent we need to deliver our transformation.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- Own and execute our communications strategy and plan and contribute to the development of our digital technology and data narrative.
- Develop key messages and create compelling content for a range of internal and external channels including social content, videos, blogs, articles, podcasts, graphics and more.
- Own relationships with key stakeholders and provide handson support for leadership comms, coaching and advising our LT, assisting with comms plans and messages.
- Own our editorial planning process to ensure a steady drumbeat of regular content that supports our comms and engagement priorities.
- Influence and upskill on communications delivery writing and editing content developed by stakeholders, and coaching colleagues to create brilliant user generated content.
- Own and manage our internal and external channel strategy, helping to develop our channels in a way that allows us to deliver a relevant, targeted experience
- Manage relationships with colleagues in Employer Brand, Creative Services, Marketing and PR, as well as external agency support
- Collect data and insight to measure our communications effectiveness, and to help us continuously improve.
Must haves:
- Background in PR, journalism or corporate communications
- Experience working as a Tech Communications Business Partner, ideally on a Change /Transformation program, supporting across internal and external communication.
- Highly skilled at creating and leading comms strategy, planning and messaging as well as executing in a highly complex matrix organisation with complete autonomy.
- Excellent written communicator with an eye for detail, and impeccably high standards to maintain the highest level of accuracy, and a strong portfolio of writing examples.
- Digital content native with the ability to create a wide range of digital assets including social media content, videos, graphics, podcasts, infographics, articles and blogs.
Nice to haves:
- Excellent verbal communicator, experienced in organising, managing, and hosting large events, including All Hands Calls and live broadcasts.
- First class video production skills with the ability to take something from idea to production: storyboarding and scripting and ideally some filming and editing capability.
- Expert knowledge of internal Digital Workplace channels (Office 365, Workplace by Facebook, Poppulo, FirstUp etc).
- Expert knowledge of external social channels, CMS and content management systems, employee advocacy tools, and external website development experience is also a plus
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
