PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
CWMBRAN
PERMANENT - MON TO WEDNESDAY THURS
£30K PLUS BENEFITS
Main Purpose of Job:
Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, you will be responsible for shop floor activities, assists the Senior Production Supervisor to implement daily production plans, monitor efficiency and waste and provide support and motivation to the team.
Main Tasks:
- To supervise shop floor labour
- To prioritise the flow of work in accordance with the production build plan and ensure that all staff are fully utilised and productive.
- Ensure work is carried out in line with Company standards (PPE/SOPs etc)
- Attend production meetings to understand priorities and risks
- Check work is carried out to the agreed standards and if not provide timely intervention/feedback
- As required, provide disciplinary controls in line with company procedures
- Ensure H&S and quality requirements are adhered to
- Communicate and keep production team updated on all matters relevant to the production process.
- Support internal and third party audits and customer visits.
- Liaise with the Core Service and Warranty Managers to share best practices.
- Assist the production planning team with headcount and capacity planning.
- Provide job training where necessary.
- Help troubleshoot manufacturing problems.
- Take part in RCA and CI activities.
- Lead Tier 1 and take part in Tier 2 meetings when required.
- Liaise with NPI, Test and Quality teams on introduction of new products to Production.

- A team player and selfstarter
- Good communicator
- Ability to take ownership of tasks
- Highly organised, able to multitask and prioritise
- Methodical with strong attention to detail
- Calm, disciplined, and able to make decisions under pressure.
- Ability to liaise with different levels of the business.
Experience / Skills Required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Prior experience in a supervisory role
- Resilient and proactive
- Understanding of electronics, fault finding at board level
- Able to interpret schematics and drawings.
- Ability to learn new computer packages.
