North Cumbria Adult Eating Disorder Services (NCAEDS) - North Cumbria Specialist Services Administration Team


An opportunity has arisen for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) permanent Band 4 administrator to join our developing team in North Cumbria as a Pathway Coordinator.

This is a county-wide service and therefore the base is flexible which will be discussed at interview (Beacon Unit, Penrith, Brookside Centre, Wigton or Lillyhall Business Centre, Workington).


We are seeking someone who has an interest supporting the clinical team in ensuring they meet targets and clinical standards in a timely manner.


This post could provide an ideal development opportunity for an existing Band 3 or 4 looking to develop further administrative and pathway coordination skills working autonomously within an exciting, developing service.

The post will provide training and development opportunities.

Full support will be provided by an experienced Administration Manager as well as the service leads.


The post holder should have:


  • Experience of gathering and inputting patient related data onto patient electronic record systems (i.e. RiO).
  • Medical secretary experience in order to provide support to our North Cumbria NCAEDS medical personnel.
  • Experience of monitoring performance data.
  • Experience of providing administrative support to a large team.
  • Lowlevel PA experience (diary management skills).
  • Good organisational skills and must be able to prioritise a fluctuating workload in order to meet the demands of the service.
  • Provides agreed levels of support to specialist services to maintain cover in the absence of peer/s.
  • Desirable: A current driving licence and access to a car
  • Travel will be necessary for this role around other North Cumbria sites so the post holder must be able to meet the mobility requirements of the role.
The successful applicant will need a proactive innovative approach and have experience of developing and managing systems.


A high level of organisation and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with extensive experience of the Microsoft suite and typing skills are required.
