Development Engineer - FMCG - Wrexham - Salary up to £45,000

About the company

Our Wrexham based FMCG client are looking for a talented, well organised individual who can contribute quickly, to develop processes and manage the transfer of new products into standard manufacturing through the new product introduction process (NPI).


Development Engineer - The Rewards
- £38,000 - £45,000

  • Company Bonus Scheme
  • Hours of work: 40 hour week, Monday to Friday (the company operate a flexitime Policy)

Development Engineer - Requirements

  • Demonstratable minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant manufacturing setting.
  • Degree level or equivalent in a chemical engineering, science, or engineering area.
  • Process control and process development experience.
  • Previous experience of coating processes would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working in or with development functions would be an advantage.
  • Experience of managing and reviewing projects.
  • Knowledge of process capability and process improvement.
  • Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers.
  • An understanding of product specification limits in relation to both the customer and process.
  • An understanding of KPIs and metrics.
  • An understanding of quality testing and product physical parameters.
  • Experience of problemsolving tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental aspects.
  • Demonstrates focus and drive for results.
  • Ability to work as a team player crossfunctionally.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise projects and tasks.
  • Willing to work flexible hours when required.

Development Engineer - Skills

  • Demonstrate the ability to lead projects, evaluate problems and make informed decisions.
  • Plan, organise and support trials and trial activities.
  • Articulate the results of manufacturing trials, analyse data, and provide direction to management.
  • Have a process control mindset with the ability to establish robust manufacturing processes.
  • Support the operational team in delivering validated processes in transfer to standard product.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
  • Evaluate and lead the introduction of new equipment to improve processes.
