This is an exciting opportunity to join Research & Knowledge Exchange Services (RKES, the central research office of University of Strathclyde), in a key leadership role managing the strategic research funding teams.


RKES provides a range of professional services to:

optimise the potential of the University's research income, intellectual property; manage contractual agreements; and develop engagement with businesses, organisations and strategic partners.


The University of Strathclyde is a leading international technological and socially progressive university, inspired by our founding mission to be a "place of useful learning" and characterised by leading research and business partnerships that meet global challenges.

This role will join RKES when the University has just launched our next Strategy (Strathclyde In particular, the Head of Strategic Research Funding will lead the International Team (5 FTEs) and the Research and Knowledge Exchange Development Team (7 FTEs) in the delivery of research funding strategy.

This role will bring together these two strategic funding Teams under a single management role for the first time.

All members are enthusiastic about the opportunities for shared approaches this presents and the Head of Strategic Research Funding will benefit from the high levels of creativity, collaboration, experience and specialist knowledge offered by both Teams.
