ROLE:
SENIOR DIGITAL LEARNING SPECIALIST / DIGITAL LEARNING SPECIALIST





SALARY:
£37,504 - £44,724 / £30,095 - £35,889
per annum
+ up to 10% bonus




CONTRACT:
Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)


We are currently recruiting
Digital Learning Specialists to enhance teaching and learning through the utilisation of digital technologies at Teesside University London.

The roles are available at two levels so whether you're an experienced learning technologist or earlier in your career there are opportunities for you to grow with us at TU London.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Creative digital professionals with a desire to contribute to an outstanding student and staff experience.

You'll work as part of the TU London campus team to enhance the quality of teaching and learning through digital technologies.

In the senior role we are looking for someone who can lead on the innovative use and development of technologies in support of TU London strategic goals and the digital first approach.


Your responsibilities will include working in collaboration with our academic teams to design high quality online learning materials which facilitate a consistent user experience that meets student expectations. You will carry out usability testing and develop guidance notes and supporting documentation. In the senior role you will provide leadership, management and support to other digital learning colleagues and be responsible for the development and oversight of project plans, workflows and related documentation.


You will have knowledge and experience in the development of digital capabilities through a relevant degree or equivalent qualifications. You will have the capability to develop activities for groups and teams to develop their skills in the use of technology to support learning. In the senior role you will be able to evidence experience of the successful management and evaluation of learning technologies-based projects.


Your skills and expertise will include an understanding of the learning technologies used in education environments and effective written and oral skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to those with and without a technical background. You will have the ability to organise and prioritise workload, manage multiple varied activities and complete work to agreed quality standards, in addition you will have attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in carrying out tasks. For the senior role you will have experience of working in Further/ Higher Education (or a similar environment) in a digital learning development role and extensive, current knowledge of the learning technologies used in Higher Education.
