Mott Macdonald Bentley Construction (MMBC) is the design and build unit of global engineering consultancy Mott Macdonald. We need an Environmental Coordinator to support us deliver work for the UK's largest water company, Yorkshire Water.

  • We are looking for a talented environmental coordinator to join our growing team. Your role will be to work collaboratively with designers to coordinate and manage environmental risks across multiple projects.
  • You will:
  • Provide advice and support in the management of projectspecific environmental risks from design to construction.
  • Coordinate environmental inputs and oversee the delivery of specialist reporting (ecology, heritage, contaminated land, permits, planning, etc).
  • Support designers complete EIA screening assessments, site waste management plans, and environmental management plans.
  • Support in the production of the sustainability workbook and biodiversity calculator.
  • Positively engage with Yorkshire Water regarding environmental and consenting matters, develop relationships and enhance our reputation.
  • Sufficient understanding of environmental disciplines to identify risks in the following areas ecology, archaeology, permitting, contaminated land, landscape, and noise.
  • Experience working directly for a Contractor is preferred.
  • Understanding and experience of the planning process (preferably the water sector).
  • Organised and able to prioritise workload.
  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Willing to spend time and effort to help others to increase technical knowledge.
  • Record of delivering environmental inputs to programme, budget and quality requirements.
