Albright IP is offering a career opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic individual. We are seeking a Legal Secretary (Trainee or Qualified) for our fantastic patents team in our main Cheltenham office.
The Cheltenham office is ideally situated at the top of Montpellier, within easy walking distance of cafes, parks and shops.
Responsibilities
- Legal administrative work including client letters, making appointments, meeting and greeting clients and visitors to the building
- Preparing documentation for submission at Patent Offices around the world
- Accurately entering and monitoring deadlines on our inhouse record system
- Dealing with incoming post and instructions from clients and associates worldwide, and actioning accordingly
- Liaising with our Accounts Department, and invoicing clients appropriately
- Liaising with other support staff to ensure that the above points are met
Skills and Attributes
- Ability to use own initiative and be a great, positive team player with a 'yes, can do' attitude
- Excellent Proficiency with computers, especially the Microsoft Office suite
- Keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask
- Strong written communication skills as well as a good telephone manner
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure, able to maintain focus, and to prioritise to meet deadline commitments
- Able to deal courteously and efficiently with a wide range of people in a professional legal environment
- Commitment, drive, and passion to see the team succeed
- Good University degree, preferable
- Comfortable with basic Maths, basic grammar, and picking out detail in letters
- Willing to be based in Cheltenham
- Full training will be provided with the option of taking the CIPA Patent Administrator course after 12 months to qualify as a patent paralegal
Salary
- With prior experience, salary is negotiable
