Job Title:
Senior Commercial Officer***
Location:Filton, Frimley or Broad Oak.

Salary:
From £38,000 depending on skills and experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Assisting in the negotiation of subcontracts with potential suppliers and ensuring this results in acceptable business agreements
  • Providing commercial support and contract administration to a project or business stream
  • Collaborating with and supporting the Commercial Management Team
  • Commercially supporting the Supply Chain Team with pricing, single source contract negotiations for defence contracts, termination and defence Conditions
  • Working in adherence to business processes and governance
  • Working closely with the customer to develop and maintain those external relationships

Your skills and experiences:


  • Be educated to A Level standard or Business qualification
  • Have good business acumen, with a high level of attention to detail and experience of negotiating
  • Have commercial experience in delivering terms and conditions
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Word and Excel
  • Experience in a defence background
  • Understanding of export control

The Integrated Combat Systems Team:

This role is based within the SSNA Commercial Team which sits within the Integrated Combat Systems. The team provide commercial support and advice to our Supply Chain Team.


This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team as you will provide commercial support and advice to the Supply Chain Team through identifying opportunities for cost saving and negotiating terms with suppliers.


This role will offer you great exposure to various areas of the business and work with some very exciting suppliers and customers.

The team also encourage further development through the Commercial Developing You (CDY) Course allowing you to further your career and fulfil your potential.
