Temporary Production Operative

Location:
Moreton-in-Marsh


Hours: 40 hours P/Week

Salary:
£12 p/h


Length: 2 months
Our client is a leader in supplies for the agriculture sector. They are looking for someone who will be responsible for the production line for fencing equipment.

The daily duties will include feeding batches of metal fence posts into the clip insertion machine and attaching company logo bandings to the finished products.


Key Responsibilities of a Production Operative

  • Untangling small metal clips.
  • Inserting clips into the clip insertion machine.
  • Using a pressurized pedal to insert clips into metal posts.
  • Checking products to ensure clips are inserted correctly.
  • Removing incorrectly inserted clips without damaging posts.
  • Manual handling of metal posts (each weighing 22kg, equivalent to 6 posts).
  • Ensuring quality control of fence posts.
  • Lifting stock onto pallets.
  • Wrapping pallets.
  • Keeping the workshop clean and tidy.
  • Ensuring machines (banding machine and clip insertion machine) are unobstructed.
  • Adhering to company health and safety policies.
  • Wearing provided PPE correctly.
  • Reporting damaged or broken PPE to higher management.
