Data Engineer NATIONWIDE (M4 corridor (East), London and Surrounding Counties, East of England Contractors in Demand)

£19, £58,589.00 per year

Job Type:
Full Time /12 months contract

8hour shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends
Travel required for the role (having your own vehicle is essential)

About the Role:

The Data Engineer is responsible for providing Field Services to assist with project delivery.

Data Engineer's main activities but not limited to:

Fibre handling, adept use of OPM and fault finding.
Copper and coaxial terminating, testing and fault finding.
Minor Infrastructure survey & build.
Rack/Sub rack Installation.
Installation of telecoms equipment, including minor DC power work (if DC competent), in equipment rooms or out on site in accordance with the design documentation provided.
To take full responsibility for the complete installation and test to customer standards.
Responsibility for ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order maintaining calibration and test date.
Complete project reports/paperwork and upload within agreed Project SLA.
Assist admin support staff with technical queries and documentation.
Assist SHEs team with field auditing where necessary.
Process the return of Decommission equipment to customer stores.
Provide adhoc reports on technical and or field issues as necessary.
Internal splicing of Fibre in ODF & patch panels.
