Are you a qualified / soon to be qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner? Do you have motivation, drive and commitment to supporting children and young peoples mental health? If so this could be the opportunity for you.


We have an exciting opportunity to be part of South Tynesides Healthy Minds Team as a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner.

The post holder will work collaboratively with our education colleagues to provide early intervention and preventative evidence based clinical interventions to children and young people to promote resilience and support their emotional wellbeing.

The post holder will be responsible for working in a timely fashion, building positive relationships with schools, aid in delivering consultation and training, and be a positive and professional role model for the service.

The post holder will have the EMHP qualification and relevant skills in delivering Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LICBT).


The post holder will be expected to work with schools to build and develop a positive mental health ethos through a whole school approach model, and will identify individual needs of the school and work collaboratively to develop and implement an action plan, for whole school work, training or direct work.


The post holder will have specific knowledge and experience of working with children and young people who have mental health difficulties, and ideally have experience of working with schools or within education settings.
