    Description

    A prestigious opportunity awaits a skilled Sous Chef at a 4-star multi-outlet Spa Hotel near Newark.

    This esteemed establishment boasts two restaurants serving distinct menu options, offering guests a diverse range of healthy, fresh food dishes. In addition to an afternoon tea service and separate bar menu for all-day diners, the hotel's function and banqueting department is particularly popular for weddings.

    As Sous Chef, you will predominantly oversee the main restaurant while also working across all areas of the kitchen, showcasing your adaptability and leadership skills in a fast-paced quality environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Senior staff in organizing, monitoring, and training the large team of chefs
    • Oversee daily operations in the main restaurant, ensuring exceptional service and culinary standards
    • Work collaboratively across all areas of the kitchen, including afternoon tea service, bar menu, and function and banqueting department

    Requirements:

    To succeed as our ideal Sous Chef candidate, you will possess:

    • Prior experience working in high-volume fresh food kitchens
    • Exceptional organizational skills, with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize tasks under pressure
