Castle View Nursery is a small charitable nursery with very high standards


We strive to deliver a caring environment, with a strong ethos on learning and wellbeing, reflecting on each child's individual needs.

We do this by employing a fantastic team of people, where every staff member holds a key role and responsibilities.

We support our staff to further their careers, assisting with training needs and providing regular supervision.

Your role will be to continue us to work in a safe, healthy and stimulating environment where activities enable children to grow and develop in line with good practice standards.


We are looking for someone with a strong and enthusiastic work ethic, an amazing team player who is ready to take on the rewarding, daily challenges of working with young children.

You must have good interpersonal and relationship building skills and possess good assessment skills.

This person will hold key working responsibilities for group of children, including planning, assessing and meeting with parents.


Responsibilities:


  • Wil include running specific programs and activities to assist the pupil's individual learning and social needs.
  • To develop knowledge of the particular needs of the child and seek advice from SENCo and outside agencies as required.
  • Motivate and encourage the pupil to have a go at activities they may be unsure of.
  • Provide positive reinforcements, praise and rewards.
  • Ensure that the nursery provides high quality childcare at all times.
  • Plan and prepare suitable activities and materials for the children following instructions from the manager/ Room leader. Ensure all materials and activities are of the highest quality and have clear, evidenced, role in supporting the children's development, learning and enjoyment.
  • Work collaboratively with other nursery staff and any volunteer helpers, to plan and coordinate work plans and activities, both indoors and outdoors;
  • Work closely with parents and carers, supporting them to deliver positive home learning environments and to encourage their children's wellbeing, development and learning.
  • Make sure the children are safe, secure, stimulated and happy; and provide any additional support they need
  • Keep up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice through ongoing training.
  • To attend out of hours' meetings and training as required.

Salary:
£22,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
