They have a successful track record of delivering exceptional design and build, refurbishment and maintenanceschemes across a wide range of sectors to include development, healthcare, education, residential (private and student), commercial and leisure.

A great career opportunity has arisen for a driven and focused Operations Director.

As a member of the Board of Directors you will lead and develop a dynamic construction team who have a successful track record of delivering exemplary projects across newbuild and refurbishment.

You will utilise your wide range of skills and experience through the construction delivery processes from preferred bidder status through to end of defects resolution.

You will oversee the planning, management and control of projectsto meet client's requirements ensuring company quality, health & safety procedures are met.

You will ensure that projects are delivered in line with project deliverables across the education, healthcare, commercial and extra care sectors.

Leading by example,you will engage and develop the teams to create a positive culture to consistently achieve year on year targets.


The main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for the delivery of multiple design and build, refurbishment and maintenance construction projects on small, large and multi-phased projects
  • Responsible for all aspects of the design and construction process
  • Leading and managing contract, project and site management teams
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to programme, cost and quality
  • Responsible for all aspects of preconstruction to include prequalification, bid and tender management, procurement and project management
  • Providing commercial, procurement, organisational, logístical and construction buildability expertise and knowledge to team
  • Responsible for ensuring projects are handed over to project deliverables
  • Responsible for accurate and timely construction reporting process directly to the Board of Directors
  • Working collaboratively with the company Head of SHEQ in monitoring and maintaining the highest level of SHEQ requirements on all projects, including the constant review and development of existing systems and procedures to meet current legislation
  • Client management and engagement
  • Planning of schemes

The Successful Applicant:


  • Degree educated and MCIOB member
  • Extensive experience and technical knowledge of construction operations
  • Proven track record in Project delivery of schemes to a value of £15m
  • Strong commercial knowledge and experience
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiating skills
  • Expertise within a similar role covering Pre-Construction, Bid and Project Management, Risk and Cost Management, Health and Safety and Procurement
  • Extensive experience of JCT and NEC Contracts
  • Strong client management and engagement skills
  • Leadership and management qualities
  • Driven and highly motivated to progress your career in management
