Safer Group are a young, dynamic, well established and rapidly growing technology focused security business, with strong capabilities in the development and deployment of security systems for temporary and remote sites.

We work with some of the biggest names in construction, rail and civil engineering to secure their flagship projects from start to finish.


Due to our continued expansion, we are looking for experienced HR Advisor to join our team, who will report to the Head of People and Culture.


Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • First point of contact to all employees to answer queries in relation to their employment terms and conditions.
  • Lead on the Recruitment, Induction & Onboarding, employee terms and conditions of employment, benefits and related processes.
  • Advise and support managers with grievances, disciplinary actions, absence management and performance management cases.
  • Support managers in ensuring that comprehensive return to work interviews with all staff take place making referrals to occupational health as required and instigating formal proceedings where necessary.
  • Coach managers with HR procedures and challenge any noncompliance.
  • Support any site reorganisations or department restructures as required.
  • Build and maintain strong productive relationships with managers and attend appropriate meetings as required.
  • Interpret and advise managers and employees on employment legislation where required.
  • Process all current, starters, leavers and change employee data on the HR system.
  • Keep weekly and monthly KPI's up to date and provide the HOPC with data as and when required.
  • Work with the Senior Management Team to identify development needs and support the sourcing/delivery of training as required to ensure we continue to have a skilled workforce.
  • Support the HOPC with all succession planning.
  • Maintain both manual and system based records for all employees.
  • In conjunction with the Head of Marketing & Communications, ensure all site HR engagement activities are delivered, including companywide notices, briefings, employee representative meetings, employee surveys & follow up actions.
  • Provide full support to the Senior Management Team on all company HR policies & procedures that deliver the entire 'employee lifecycle'.
  • Support and prepare HR records/documentation for all audits.
  • Support various HR projects and wellbeing initiatives

Key skills and Experience:


  • Able to support change, influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Experience in similar role within fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexibly to support business needs as required.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation.
  • Able to demonstrate evidence of problem solving.
  • Good level of numerical and analytical skill.
  • Competent using computer based packages, excel, word a MS Outlook and HRIS.
  • Proven experience coordinating/assisting with HR initiatives.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skill with the ability to prioritise/multi task.
  • Able to work on own initiative with little support.
  • Proactive approach to work and generating ideas challenges the status quo suggest new ideas/processes of working.

Essential:


  • CPP and or CIPD qualified.
  • Full Drivers License
  • Available documentation to complete Security Screening to the relevant BS7858 Standard (Valid Passport and/Or Birth Certificate, Bank Statement/Utility Bill dated within 3 months and Drivers License)

Note - Employment is conditional until full Screening has been satisfactory completed and must be done within 12 weeks from start date.

Salary:
£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
