The opportunity
In this role, you will be supporting the maintenance of busy hospitals and healthcare sites in Ilford.
You will be working around those with learning difficulties and in rehabilitation centers therefore the role is very rewarding, although, you must be happyworking within this environment.

Your role as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will include:
- As Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for the maintenance of a busy hospital/healthcare site in Ilford.
- You will work as part of a highly skilled maintenance team (consisting of plumbing, mechanical and multiskilled maintenance operatives).
- Responsible for reactive works and planned preventative maintenance (PPM's).
- You will be replacing and repairing doors and frames including fire doors, TMV servicing/replacement, installing and repairing cabinets and wall based units, replacing pipework, skirting and boxing, sentinel checks, fire door inspections, fire alarm testing,repairs to fabric of building, replacing locks and much more.
- Carrying out all general multi skilled tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting and maintenance.
- Ensure that all procedures and reporting requirements are adhered to and delivered accurately and on time, e.g. H&S requirements, job records, timesheets, daily van inspection, impress van stock material management, mileage returns, risk assessments andmethod statements in line with requirements.
- Use the handheld PDA to receive jobs, complete risk assessments, and close jobs in real time.
- Manage allocated works in line with contract SLAs.
Required Skills to be successful as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
- A technical/working knowledge and hands on experience of M & E building services repairs, maintenance and of Health & Safety procedures in daily site operation.
- Relevant trade qualifications e.g. NVQ/City and Guilds or time served
- Proven multitrade experience
- Proven repair and maintenance skills and/or previous experience within reactive repairs, void, or planned maintenance environment
- UK Driving License
- Good customer service skills
- Good interpersonal skills
