This job is suitable for someone who has experience in providing cleaning and domestic work in a Care home environment.

We are looking for an individual to work at our Psychiatric nursing/care home situated in Mitcham, Surrey. The home has friendly team which provides premium nursing care for the residents. You should be hardworking, caring, friendly and trustworthy to work with vulnerable adults.

As the cleaner in charge, you will be:

• Responsible for overall cleanliness of the entire home

- both inside and outside of the care home.

• Maintaining a good standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the work place and to ensure a safe environment for all residents, staff and visitors to the Home.
• Able to work within the team under the supervision of the nurse in charge or the Manager
• Able to contribute to the personal needs of any individual resident and ensure they enjoy a good quality, friendly and caring environment

Your responsibilities:

• To ensure that residents' rooms are maintained with required heating & ventilation
• To ensure resident's rooms and other communal areas are kept clean at all times
• To ensure all Housekeeping cupboards containing cleaning materials are kept locked at all time and are kept clean and tidy
• To comply with Home's Health and safety procedures
• To report the Duty nurse/ manager regarding any potential hazards found
• To maintain supply level of cleaning materials and request the manager to reorder when the level runs low.
• To maintain the residents' room dispensers for soap and tissues are refilled
• To clean/maintain bathrooms, toilets and the water outlets daily.
• To attend staff meetings and attend all mandatory training when required
