Hive Legal Ltd are a Support Services Company that can provide Law Firms with experienced and reliable Business support functions such as Accounting, HR and People, Reception Cover and Post Room Operators.
We offer exciting quarterly events, a health and wellbeing coach who runs bi-weekly exercise sessions and daily challenges in our newly rennovated wellness room.
The postholder will work with as a contact for billing and client ledger queries, ensuring the firm's financial transactions are correct from an internal perspective and in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Rules, and generally acting as part of a wider team, assisting where required on all cashiering issues.
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Liaising with departments and clients regarding accounting transactions and dealing with any queries that may arise; timely response to fee earners' queries
- Assisting with the processing of client and office account transactions
- Assisting with daily bank reconciliations and incoming BACS allocation
- Sales, purchase and control account reconciliation
- Distribution of client matter reports and liaison with fee earners to action client balances
- Processing expenses payments
- Raising and posting payments to and from the accounts each day.
- A selfmotivator who is trustworthy and reliable;
- Be ambitious and driven;
- Be organised, confident, and have the ability to prioritise;
- Analytical thinker and problem solver with a 'cando' attitude;
- Competent IT skills, particularly proficient with spreadsheet software;
- Administrative tasks
Essential skills
- Excellent case management software skills
- Experience in working as an Accounts Assistant or Legal Cashier within a solicitors firm is welcomed but not required.
- Have the confidence and ability to communicate to liaise with all parties both internal and external.
- Strong sense of responsibility
- Have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- A willing and able attitude
- Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Selfmotivated and able to complete routine tasks without direction
