This is a fixed term/secondment vacancy until 15/01/2024 to cover maternity leave.


If you are an internal applicant this post will only be offered on a secondment basis, and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Nursing Team at Llandovery Hospital as a Health Care Support Worker.

We are a 16 bedded community rehabilitation unit providing care to patients with often complex and challenging health and social care needs.

There are also 3 dedicated Palliative side rooms.


We are looking for dependable and dedicated individuals with a passion for patient care and a desire to learn new skills and develop in a positive and busy environment.

The post holder will need to demonstrate that they have good communication skills and that they are in excellent team player.


The post holder will work as part of a team of ward based nursing staff, assisting in the delivery of a high standard of nursing care and acting in a professional manner at all times.

They will be required to carry out a range of assigned tasks involving direct and non-direct care that promote self-care and independence for the benefit of the patient and will be in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse.

This will be followed by a period of training and completion of core competencies.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
