About the role
We are looking to recruit a Housing Assistant to join our Housing team.

As a Housing Assistant you'll provide administrative support to the wider team so that others can spend large parts of their time out of the office.

You will do this by working in a positive manner with both colleagues and customers alike.

You must be able to show genuine commitment to providing a good quality of life for people living on PCH estates.


This will mean demonstrating, by word and action, that you are interested in ensuring that the views and priorities of the customers are taken into account in all aspects of service delivery with which you assist.


  • Has administrative experience requiring the ability to organise and maintain a number of work areas in parallel
  • Has knowledge of the function of social housing and an appreciation of the role of third sector working with a diverse range of people, some of whom are socially or financially excluded
  • Is good with people, and can work well as part of a team and also on own initiative
  • Has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Can work accurately in a fast paced environment whilst adhering to procedures and regulations
  • Has flexibility in approach and willingness to work as directed by managers
  • Is adaptable to changes in working practices
  • Can work quickly and accurately on a range of duties
  • Can persist diligently with a varied workload ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner
