Graduate Design Engineer

This is a great opportunity for someone to take on this important role within the Product

Development Department and has full exposure to New Product Design across all product ranges.

You will be part of the company graduate scheme and will have the opportunity to develop your career within a leading R and D facility


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate innovative & feasible design concepts and costeffective solutions
  • Ensure all design requirements are optimised to provide a robust product that can be manufactured
  • Prepare, check, and approve that drawings are correct to required
  • To participate in internal team meetings and design reviews
  • Liaise with technical specialists as required
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Prototype, Purchasing and Production engineers to ensure products are designed for manufacture.
The person

  • A Mechanical Engineering degree (or similar field).
  • A strong technical and solving problems ability
  • Experience in using Catia (3D, surface modelling, detailed drawings) and knowledge of NX package would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of GD&T would be an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate information, whether technical or nontechnical to internal stakeholders, customers, & suppliers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Current knowledge on latest manufacturing techniques and drawing standards.
  • Valid UK Driving licence & Passport
  • Willing and able to travel globally and at times, at a very short notice.
