Position Summary


We have an exciting opportunity at our Nescafé Beverage Manufacturing site in Tutbury, we are looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our Industrial Services team, based at our Nestlé Beverage factory in Tutbury you will specialise in Steam Production & Efficiency on site with a view of supporting additional improvement projects as they progress.


Nestlé Tutbury Factory in Staffordshire is one of the largest Nestlé factories in Europe after a £250 million investment over the last few years.

The factory produces several of the most well-known Nescafé products in the world through freeze-dried, spray dried, pod coffee production technologies and is at the forefront of coffee production globally.

A day in the life ofa Maintenance Planner


The Maintenance Planner will ensure that all maintenance activities are planned and performed in the most effective and efficient way, taking into consideration factors such as available support, budget, production schedules, safety and available tools and spare parts.


Other responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the daytoday scheduling of compliance management
  • Execute the weekly maintenance planning routine.
  • Coordinate maintenance team and day to day activities.
  • Support technicians with breakdowns on a reactive basis.
  • Be proactive and create the maintenance strategy for the future, driving improvement activities.
  • Support the technical stores management.
  • Build relationships across all levels of the factory.
  • Focused improvement activities.
  • Support with data in building the maintenance budget.
  • Become the Maintenance Specialist for the Department

What will make you successful?
The person that is successful in this role will naturally drive improvement across engineering maintenance.

You will have had experience in a fast-paced maintenance environment as an engineer and hold a qualification within engineering; time served apprentice or degree with practical experience.


Other attributes would include:

  • Ideally you will have experience in a coffee manufacturing environment or if not, we would be looking for you to of had experience in an industrial environment with an understanding of combustion and steam boilers.
  • Manage and prioritise workload in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels.
  • A working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Can do attitude to work with a drive to improve.
  • Exposure to TPM or other lean tools would be advantageous.
